About Our Explant Bras

Patients may choose to undergo breast implant removal surgery, also known as explant surgery, for various reasons, including breast implant illness or wanting to change breast size. Getting the right support for your chest post surgery is important for a fast and healthy recovery. Our implant removal bras provide medical-grade compression while being comfortable and supportive.

FAQs For Breast Implant Removal Bras

What Bra Should You Wear After Breast Implant Removal?

After breast implant removal, you should wear a compression bra. Our explant bra has been specifically designed to provide stabilised compression to your chest as your breast tissue readjusts to the new breast shape. The explant bra also includes retractable cups so you can adjust the fitting as your swelling decreases post surgery.

When Can You Stop Wearing A Bra After Explant Surgery?

You can expect to wear an explant bra for at least 4 weeks following surgery. They should be worn day and night to reduce the risk of complications. For 4-8 weeks following surgery, you will still need to wear an implant removal bra but, depending on your recovery progress and your doctor's advice, you may not need to wear it all the time. Always consult your specialist before changing how often you are wearing your explant bra post surgery.
